On the public library as publisher


Mikael Böök b.1947, academic education in philosophy and history, was on the payroll of the Helsinki City Library and worked in its “Cable Book” branch in 1993-5 when we run the first webserver there. Böök is also the author of  The library activist – essays on power and the library in the information society and is co-blogger with Anders Ericsson at BiblioteketTarSaka.com.

Mikael Böök has also written a short e-book which spun off working on his preparations for a the IFLA conference.

The ebook is made with the participation of Anders Ericson and Ralph Amissah. «On the public library as publisher – a dialog – Thoughts about a greater engagement than hitherto in library publishing for the common good.»
