Nordisk gerontologikongress i Oslo

Nær 800 deltakere fra 40 land var samlet i Oslo 2.-4. mai i anledning den 24. nordiske gerontologikongressen. NOVA og OsloMet var blant arrangørene.

NOVA-forskerne Marijke Veenstra (styreleder i Norsk selskap for aldersforskning) og Katharina Herlofson var som generalsekretær og medlem av organisasjonskomiteen sentrale i kongressens arrangement. Marijke og Thomas Hansen deltok i kongressens vitenskapelige komite, og Marja Aartsen i den vitenskapelige komiteen til den nordiske gerontologiforeningen (Nordic Gerontological Federation).

Fra NOVA deltok 16 forskere på kongressen. Vi arrangerte to symposium: “Perspectives on active ageing” (Thomas Hansen) og “Older workers in an extended working life” (Tale Hellevik). I tillegg var 7 sesjoner (oral sessions) ledet av NOVA-forskere: “Social inequalities in ageing” (Marja Aartsen), “Family and integenerational relationships” (Svein Olav Daatland), , Loneliness (Thomas Hansen), “Meet the editors” (Marja Aartsen), “Informal care” (Heidi Gautun), “Housing and living environment” (Hans Christian Sandlie) og “Work and Retirement” (Per Erik Solem). NOVA-forskere presenterte i alt 22 konferansepaper.
